'Classy' newsletter instrumental in selling Australian-made precision gears to Swiss watchmakers

We all know the reputation of Swiss watchmakers – nobody does it better. 

So how exciting was the approach by a prominent Swiss company to our client, premium Australian gear manufacturer Ronson Gears, wanting to explore the possibility of local manufacture under licence!

The two companies had made contact at Hanover Messe, the world's leading showcase for industrial technology, in 2005. There had been no further contact until ASS AG contacted Ronson Gears two years later, requesting an audience and acknowledging that Ronson's regular newsletter Gear Whispers had kept the company on their radar.

Gear Whispers is a bi-annual publication, and has been produced by Connecting Images since 2004.

A comprehensive production schedule is prepared for each issue, and we contact our client well in advance of the deadline to discuss ideas and topics

Articles and items of interest are researched and written where required, and content supplied to us is edited and polished to make sure that the newsletter has a consistent voice and projects a consistent image.

We take care of design, artwork, prepress and printing, and then organise delivery of the finished job to the mailing house for international distribution.

Our client is, of course, involved in the approval process along the way, but our stringent quality control procedures and attention to detail mean that very little of his time is required for proofing and signoff.
