Security Advice wins the day!

Tuesday, June 1st, 2004

The sixth annual Lockwood Security Advisor Award, open to all graduates of the Lockwood Security Products Retail Training Program (RTP), was announced recently – The winner, Bob Barrett, is an employee of Beck’s Home Hardware, Scottsdale, Tasmania.

This national awards program was conceived and established for Lockwood by Connecting Images in 1999 as an affordable and effective wide reaching promotional initiative to increase market awareness of the RTP. The Security Advisor Award acknowledges the commitment of frontline retail hardware staff who undertake Lockwood’s innovative training program to increase their level of professionalism, product knowledge and customer service excellence. It also strengthens Lockwood’s relations with its own customer base. This year’s announcement was rewarded with editorial coverage in local and metropolitan Tasmanian press, trade publications and statewide radio news coverage, as well as instore promotion and advertising arranged by Beck’s. Lockwood is all about quality.

Our relationship with Australia’s leading lock manufacturer is a special one. Lockwood was one of our very first clients when we opened our doors eight years ago.

Three weeks to photograph more than 300 candles and accessories, design, catalogue, code, proof and print a suite of seven advertising catalogues for Polyco Candle Company was a tad challenging.

We did it, and with such panache that we scored silver at the 12th Australian Catalogue Association Awards, coming second to a major advertising project for Nissan. Given Nissan’s massive advertising spend and our ‘tight’ deadline on this project, we consider our team to have excelled on this one. Special thanks to photographer Dan, designer Elizabeth, project director Merilyn and our brilliant printers, who never let us down.
